Laat jouw werk schitteren bij de DSSH!

Het uitwisselen van ideeën rond onderzoek en innovatie vormt al jarenlang het kloppende hart van de DSSH. Ook dit jaar nodigen we onderzoekers en innovatieve denkers uit om hun werk te presenteren tijdens het jaarlijkse DSSH-congres. Dien één of meerdere abstracts in voor een mondelinge presentatie of posterpresentatie en deel jouw inzichten met collega’s uit het werkveld. Je maakt bovendien kans op prijzengeld van 500 euro voor het beste abstract, beste poster en beste pitch.

Dit jaar voegen we een extra dimensie toe aan de abstract indiening. Naast het abstract vragen we elke deelnemer om een korte pitchvideo van maximaal één minuut in te dienen. Deze video’s worden via onze online kanalen en sociale media gedeeld, zodat jouw onderzoek of innovatie al vóór het congres de aandacht krijgt die het verdient.

Om de kwaliteit van de inzendingen nog beter te beoordelen, werden de evaluatiecriteria voor zowel abstracts als pitches verder verfijnd. De wetenschapscommissie zal deze criteria gebruiken bij de selectie van de ingediende bijdragen.

Maar daar stopt het niet. Geselecteerde deelnemers ontvangen vrijblijvend feedback om de kwaliteit, helderheid en impact van hun abstract verder te versterken. Bovendien krijgen geïnteresseerde deelnemers dit jaar de unieke kans om hun poster of mondelinge presentatie al vier tot zes weken vóór het congres online voor te stellen aan de leden van de wetenschapscommissie. Deze extra feedbackronde biedt een uitgelezen kans om je presentatie verder aan te scherpen en optimaal voorbereid aan het congres deel te nemen.

En er is nóg meer.

Naast de prijzen voor de beste wetenschappelijke en innovatieve bijdrage introduceren we dit jaar ook de DSSH Best Pitch Award. Via een online stemcampagne op sociale media krijgt het publiek de kans om de pitchvideo’s te bekijken en vóór het congres op hun favoriet te stemmen. Zo belonen we niet alleen sterk onderzoek en vernieuwende ideeën, maar ook het talent om wetenschap en innovatie op een inspirerende, heldere en toegankelijke manier te communiceren.

Dien je abstract uiterlijk 30 november in. Maak indruk met je pitch. Verfijn je presentatie. En maak kans op een van de felbegeerde DSSH Award(s)!

Beoordelingsprocedure

De abstracts worden geblindeerd (zo mogelijk) beoordeeld door meerdere leden van de DSSH wetenschapscommissie. Geselecteerde abstracts worden uitgenodigd voor presentaties tijdens het congres.

Afhankelijk van de beoordeling van het abstract en de relevantie van het werk, zal de wetenschapscommissie het type presentatie bepalen (presentatie, poster). De auteurs worden hiervan via e-mail op de hoogte gesteld begin december 2026. Gedetailleerde richtlijnen voor de presentatie worden opgenomen in de acceptatie-e-mail.

Let op: als uw abstract wordt geaccepteerd, moet minimaal één auteur zich inschrijven voor het congres en de presentatie verzorgen.

These are the driving forces behind DSSH, and this year we are introducing exciting new opportunities to showcase your work and engage with a wider audience.

As in previous years, participants are invited to submit one or more scientific abstracts or innovative ideas for consideration as an oral presentation or poster presentation before the announced deadline. You also stand a chance of winning prize money of 500 euros for the best abstract, best poster and best pitch.

What’s new this year? Every abstract must be accompanied by a one-minute pitch video. These videos will be featured online and shared through DSSH social media channels, giving your research or innovation the visibility it deserves long before the congress begins. To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, the evaluation criteria for both abstracts and pitches have been further refined and will be applied by the Scientific Committee.

Selected authors will continue to receive constructive feedback on their abstract to help improve its quality, clarity, and impact. But we are taking things one step further. Participants who are interested will have the opportunity to present their poster or oral presentation online to members of the Scientific Committee four to six weeks before the DSSH Congress. This unique pre-congress feedback session is designed to help presenters fine-tune their work, build confidence, and maximize their chances of success.

And there is even more to look forward to.

Alongside the awards for the best scientific and innovative contributions, DSSH proudly introduces the Best Pitch Award. Through a social media voting campaign, the public will have the opportunity to watch the submitted pitch videos and vote for their favorite before the congress. This award celebrates not only excellent research and innovative thinking, but also the ability to communicate ideas clearly, creatively, and with impact.

Assessment procedure

Several members of the DSSH scientific committee will assess the abstracts blind (if possible). Selected abstracts will be invited to present at the conference.

Based on the abstract and the relevance of the work, the scientific committee will determine the type of presentation (presentation, poster). The authors will be notified of this by email in early December 2026. The acceptance email will include detailed presentation guidelines.

Please note: if your abstract is accepted, at least one author must register for the conference and deliver the presentation.
